Season 3 of The Vampire Diaries kicked off the supernatural festivities started with a vicious Ripper killing spree and Elena Gilbert‘s 18th birthday party. However, Klaus‘ main doppelganger isn’t the only one ringing in her first adult year — Caroline Forbes is due for a celebration of her own! However, rather than getting her groove on the dance floor, purchasing a lottery ticket, and/or deciding who she’s going to vote for in the next presidential election, Vampire Barbie will be in the doldrums.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Julie Plec revealed that Caroline will experience a “teenage life crisis” and question what being a vampire reallymeans after realizing she’s stuck at age 17 forever. Fortunately, Elena, Matt, and Bonnie will intervene and try to cheer her up with a surprise party. Unfortunately though, they live in Mystic Falls where any large hoorah equals major blood shed and tears.
Aww. Poor Caroline! She’s seriously been put through the ringer in the past year (what with her brutal death and reconditioning torture session and all) so to hear about her existentialist crisis seriously breaks our hearts! We’re sending some sunshine her way!
