Not to make everyone sad, but we have another Klaus-free episode coming up this week. To tide you over, TV Fanatic talked to Joseph Morgan about his character’s motivations.“Deep down he just wants to be loved. Friendship and family have been lacking for him the last 1,000 years. . . . It was really important to Klaus that Stefan come around on his own, through his own free will. He really wanted to believe they could be friends like they were in the 1920s.”
The interview also illuminates some of Joseph Morgan’s inspiration for the way he plays Klaus, and gives a few hints about under what circumstances Klaus will be returning to the show.
