After being with Elena, Stefan has now turned off his emotions and become the polar opposite of who he was one year ago, a ruthless killing machine who doesn’t care about anyone or anything. Ironically his main priority is to keep Elena safe, which is exactly what he was doing one year ago, only now it’s because Klaus needs her blood.
